Principal's Message

Tahquitz Family,

I am proud to serve as your Principal at Tahquitz High School.  In addition to being the principal, I am also a parent of a Freshman, we will be on the high school journey together.  Regardless of the juncture, your child’s journey through high school is the most important 4 years of education and will set the stage for their life outside of K-12 education.  Their work ethic and commitment to learning are essential for their success at Tahquitz and the world beyond. The number one responsibility of all Tahquitz students is their academics.  All Tahquitz students are expected to graduate from high school as A-G completers and ready to tackle the world of college and career.

Our focus on instruction, professional learning communities, climate, and rigorous academic programs offer our students a comprehensive education. Utilizing the professional learning communities’ model, we are collaboratively pursuing innovation in our classrooms as well as creating the best instructional environment we are able to provide our students. Tahquitz High School offers students a memorable, student-centered experience that focuses on critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity. Our emphasis on 21st-century skills prepares students to excel in college and their careers. We offer a positive climate on our campus through our shared belief in Titan P.R.I.D.E. Our students and staff understand that a campus that is positive, respectful, innovative, disciplined, and focuses on excellence, creates a positive climate for all to achieve.

At Tahquitz High School, we have great teachers who spend hours planning and creating classroom activities to engage our students' learning.  Our teachers utilize research-based best practices and analyze academic data to determine current skill levels and to set goals for growth and improvement.  We believe that all students should graduate from high school prepared for the demands of postsecondary education, meaningful careers, and effective citizenship.

If you have questions or need support with your child’s education please do not hesitate to contact the school and set up a meeting.

Thank you,

Mr. Eric Dahlstrom
