On Thursday, December 8, 2022, the community came together and helped unstuff a toy-filled bus at Tahquitz High School. Approximately 100 volunteers from HUSD staff, Hemet PD, Business owners, and community members from the Soboba Foundation and Board, Chamber of Commerce, City Council, and other organizations came out to support this amazing event.
The Soboba Foundation purchased 1,000 toys valued between $20- $25 each. Additionally, they provided 150 $20 Starbucks gift cards for our teenage students. An assembly line was put in place to sort the toys into age and gender categories. It was a beautiful night filled with a lot of toys, holiday songs, a hot chocolate bar, tamales, community connections, and of course, the holiday spirit!
