Parent Committees

SSC - School Site Council: School Site Council (SSC) is group of teachers, parents, administrators, and interested community members who work together to develop and monitor a school's improvement plan. It is a legally required decision-making body for any school receiving federal funds.

PTSA - Parent Teacher Student Association: PTSA is a volunteer association where parents, educators, students, and other citizens can be active in their schools and communities.

PBSI - Positive Behavior Strategy Interventions: Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) are strategies schools use to improve the behavior of students. The proactive approach establishes the behavioral supports and social culture needed for all students in a school to achieve social, emotional and academic success. Parents, School staff, and students, work together and are active in the schools PBIS plan.

LCAP - Local Control and Accountability Plan: The LCAP is a tool for local educational agencies to set goals, plan actions, and leverage resources to meet those goals to improve student outcomes. This page provides resources to support the planning, implementation and evaluation of an LCAP. Each school site has an LCAP rep. who attends scheduled meetings at the District Office and provides support for LCAP decisions.
