"As a coach you try to motivate your players and get them to understand there are times in the season that are critical," Price said. "During those times you have to find a way to get a win."
What the skipper didn't realize was his speech had the makings of an eight-run, 14-hit outburst and a combined quality effort on the bump where his Jayhawks allowed four or fewer runs for just the sixth time all season.
"The biggest thing that happened today was that (senior righty) Drew Morovick went out on the mound and gave us five great innings," Price said. "If he doesn't take the ball today and hold them to two runs in five innings, we probably get beat."

Scott Gonzalez
Scott was a student at Tahquitz high school for 4 years from 2011-2014. He participated in the M.C.J.R.O.T.C program for all 4 years under the leadership of Lt col. Akana, Sgt Maj. Harrel, Sgt Maj. Hightower, and Maj. Williams. Scott knew what he wanted in 8th grade and followed his dreams He is now a soldier for the US Army, he completed his basic training in fort Jackson South Carolina from Jan. 27th to April 9th and is now at Fort Gordon Georgia for his job training in Communications. He will be done at the end of July 2015. Congratulations Scott! Way to "Show that Titan Pride"!!!!
